Comal County Garden Seminar 2018Join the Comal Master Gardeners and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension for the Comal County Garden Seminar Friday, March 9th, 2018 from 8:30am-4:30pm.


  • Interaction of Pollinators with Native Plants: Dr. Benjamin T. Hutchins, Invertebrate Biologist Non-game and Rare Species Program, Texas Parks and Wildlife.
  • Native Plants and How to Use Them: Craig Hensley, Park Interpreter/Naturalist, Guadalupe River State Park. Hensley is a life-long naturalist and natural history educator.
  • The Monarchs: Cathy Downs, Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist and Texas Master Naturalist. Currently chairs the Bring Back the Monarchs to Texas (BBMT) program.
  • Bats as Pollinators: Nyta Brown, Superintendent and Wildlife Biologist for Old Tunnel State Park.
